Watercolor Winter

This is my latest.  Since our trip and our move I have had almost no time to stamp!  But my stamp room is slowly being uncovered and sorted.  I am so looking forward to having that finished!  This uses Watercolor Winter on Sahara Sand card stock.  Real Red and Gumball Green applied with the blender pen.  The berries are gel pen.  I see more variations of this set in my future!

Dump Truck

\
This cute little dump truck (with moveable dumper and wheels) was originally seen on Lynn Pratt's blog, I think.  She didn't leave any instructions for it, so I had to wing it.  It came out pretty good if I have to say so myself!!  The tires have the round birthday stamp, going gray bumper and pacific point body and pumpkin pie dumper and hubs.  It started out, I thought, to fit a regular sized envelope.  However, it is nearly 5 x 7!  Ha - not sure exactly how all that happened.  I will try to post a template for it tomorrow.

Watercolor Winter

Here is a cute little card I made for my brother in law and his wife for their 50th anniversary.  Very simple, gold embossed and cut out.  Two layers of texture.

Give Thanks

I cased this from Mary Brown.  Her card is so simple and pretty.  (http://stampercamper.com/?p=92)  It took me 2 minutes to really stink up a practice leaf.  The one on the right was next - love the colors, but ombre was not what I was going for!  :-)    The next one is a bit better, but still not the color definition I was looking for.  However, this ranks right up with my favorite ConnieStewart flashcards for speed and ease!!  I'm not even sure the cute little pheasant is a current set, but he is one of my favorites!  Practice, practice, practice!!!

Elf Punch Art

These are the cutest little elves.  The original was on a swap I received last  year...  I kept him because he needed another life!  But I really have new respect for those that do punch art!!  It can be kind of tedious (even in my world).  Anyhow, I got thru 6 of them.  I originally wanted to do a dozen - not sure at all that will happen!  hahaha  Oops, I see a few don't have the hem on their breeches!  sigh - guess I will have to fix that....

Ornament Flash Cards

These are some of my fab uplines card ideas.  They are called flashcards - because they are made in a flash!  No REALLY!  Google Connie Stewart flashcards and you will get quite the eyefull!!  The soft suede is almost a duplicate of hers.  I added more pearls.  I wanted a bit more color, so I did the real red one with crumbcake antiquing and I love it even more!

Autumn Accents

Here is my husbands birthday card.  He never reads this, so I'm safe - his birthday isn't for a couple of weeks yet!  It's on crumb cake with soft suede run thru the wood embossing folder.  I really like how the leaves came out.  The inside is done with My Digital Studio.  I will have to get a picture of it.

Serene Silhouettes

Silhouette are some of my absolute fav stamps!!  Even better when they can be colored!  I have not spent nearly enough time with this stamp....  We will be close!

Betsy's Blossom

This is such a cute little set - I don't do it justice, but I wasn't casing someone elses work, so I guess it's ok.   I think it really needs more background.  Will have to remedy that.....

Notebooks

Here is a start on the notebooks I am doing.  These will be prayer journals for some friends.  I have lots of dsp to be slapped on notebooks and stuffed into dvd cases.  The dvd cases will be partly glove box offices and card cases with card candy.  There will easily hold 4-6 cards and envies and some card candy.

MDS2 Hybrid

This is Eclectic Overlays...  and is way out of my comfort zone!  And a really terrible picture!  I might have to try to redo this!  I started out on WW, but of course messed up the sentiment inside the circle!  So I cut out the circle to show the melon mambo behind.  The huge ribbon maybe over powers  - lol.  I will have to look at it a couple of days to decide what to do.....  :-)

Batman!

The first photo is the back of the batman card.  The next is Gotham City's call for Batman!  This is another Tanzghi if you can't tell!!  Very nice, don't you think?!

Ship in a Bottle

Here is a half finished card that I have posted to get some information from my learned MDS people!!

Tuesday, July 24, 2012

Still liking this dsp!! The first one i did all by myself - i liked it but thought something was missing.  Good ol' Tanzghi to the rescue!!  The last one is per her instructions....  she wasn't here, so I think I might not have quite met the specs of the "artist"!!!!  It did improve it, I think.  Maybe she will be my artistic advisor!!

Serene Silhouettes

The top card has yet to get a sentiment, but I am thinking something along the side, tucked under the edge.  I couldn't get the idea of stamping on this paper into my head....  since I have, I think I really like it!!  The trees are stamped in black, but the stamp is such that it looks gray.  Sponged with pool party and pear  pizzazz.

Need for Speed

This was a little get well for a friend that had heart surgery.  In retrospect, I think the little sentiment could have been lower in the corner rather than above the car...  live and learn!  I printed the flags on MDS.  Square punches in black, grouped and shrunk...

Dawn's Birthday Card

Missed getting this with the inside....  The outside was kind've plain, but I liked how the frame came out.  A handy dandy tip from a brilliant blogger (that i failed to take note of) to use the middle size oval die - no more trying to cut a perfect oval!

Birthday Card

I did this card for a good friend.  It turns out this is so very easy to do!  I printed the candles in My Digital Studio!  I didn't have the proper color of striped paper so that worked wonderfully!!

Music Notes

These were cased from Leann Pugilese.  I changed them up just a bit.  A tiny bit of Dazzling Details brightens them up just a bit!

Delicate Designs

I'm not sure I will leave this card like this!  It is growing on me tho.  I saw a similar flower on U Stamp with Dawn.  I love the new folders SU! has come out with....  not sure that this one isn't a bit over the top in the texture dept!!  lol  Thinking...  comments welcome!!

Here are my newest digital cards.  You have GOT to try this!!  so much fun! The first is a  case of a Sharon Burkert card - I made mine digital and used a few more flowers and pearls.  The second is Fresh Vintage in pool party - forgot the shadow under the ribbon.  boo.  Love how the houndstooth texture looks!

Sunday, May 20, 2012

I saw this on Sharon Field's blog.  A really cute way to use this neat new die!!  Mine is very similar to hers - but I added a bit of splatter, pearls instead of ribbon and then clear embossed the whole thing since cookie jars are shiny!  lol.  It really brightened the colors - they were suitably muted before - an interesting look!

Butterflies

I love this color combo - and i'm trying really hard to get off the orange kick I have been on!  These are a reprise of the pink and yellow butterflies previous - I added the pearls and it made such a difference the pink ones are now sporting pearls!

Little boys birthday card

Here is birthday card a friend of mine asked me to do for her grandson.  I sure hope he likes it!  These ball stamps have laid unused for a loooong time!!  Most used are the monster, car, truck stamps!  Maybe I will get around to posting some of those also....  The balls are a fun technique I saw Frenchie (Frances Martin) use.  They are smashed into heated craft foam to give them loads of dimension!  I will be using it more!!

One last quick card - This one is a case of Sharon Burkurt.  Domestic Goddess dsp, with rick rack from the Tasteful Trim die and the mixed bunch flower.  I have such an orange thing going!!!  lol

Here is my latest project - repurposed containers decorated for a bake sale!  These use blossom party flower die and raspberry tart dsp with curry crush ribbon and the other uses shades of spring and orchid opulence flowers.  Round two will have different flowers -  such fun!

smooches stencils, again!

I am really on a roll today!!  For these i used both of the stencils.  (positive and negative in set!) and mixed  alcohol, a few drops of calypso coral and a few more drops of frost white shimmer paint.  Then I just spritzed it over the stencils onto white card stock.  Rather than soaking in it seems to sit on top of the paper more like some sort of overlay!  They have much more depth than i can capture with my limited camera skills!

Smooches and Butterflies

A couple of more quick cards....  The first is one more sympathy. It is a stencil that is new to SU! and I love it!!  So many possibilities.  Concord crush on wisteria with a sliver of silver behind and a silver sentiment.  Bad picture - it really doesn't look very silver....  and the whole thing looks kind've smoky.  The butterflies are a case of  Sandi McIver.  I moved some things around, but it is so nice and cheerful!

Floral Fusion Sympathies

Unfortunately, I have had a need for several sympathy cards this week.  These are always difficult!  But since I was so very pleased with the pink hello card I  posted a few weeks ago and I had these scraps on my table, here they are again!  Not entirely certain the green ribbon will stay on the top sympathy card...  The last one is contraband MS hydrangea punch - but they are cute little flowers!  So much of the SU! catalog is retiring, maybe we will get some more cute small flower punches!

Flower Garden

This one is simple and pretty quick!  It uses the flower garden embossing folder and glossy paper.  Just a quick bit of trimming, mount on Lucky Limeade, add a touch of ribbon and some Pretty in Pink scallops to set off the pretty pink flowers.  no sentiment yet - looking for an occasion!  The inside sports matching flowers printed off my digital studio.  How did we ever manage without that feature???

Lovely as a Tree

There have been bazillions of these done but this is the first I have managed to complete without throwing it in the trash!!  ha  Butterfingers drops, smears and stamps badly sometimes!!  You know,  some days it just doesn't work - but all was well today and I'm pretty pleased with it.  I should make more while I'm on a roll!  lol

Designer Cuts

This fun card features Floral Fusion Flowers and Designer Cuts from the new mini catalog.  A nice, soft card for my monthly swap.

Monster Baby Card

Tanzghi is back!  I love how she just dives in and comes up with a spectacular card!  She used the Little Monsters and Funky Four mushrooms to decorate her hand cut hills and Lovely Letters to make the baby's name.  Inside, Fabulous Phrases are used throughout her handwritten sentiment. And no card should be nekked on the back!!!

Elegant Birds

I have seen several versions of this card.  But Diane Ouellette posted one this morning on SU! that made me want to jump in and do my own version!  She added the glasses, but when have you seen cat-eye glasses without rhinestones??!!   If you can get close enough the little  yellow bird also got a beak tat!!  haha  I just couldn't stop!  Loads of fun!!
