Another Birthday Card

This one, my granddaughter did for a friend. She never wants help - just flips thru, grabs a stampset or two, lots of glitter and goes to town! This is on black card, with some old purple ribbon layered with white. The flourish from Creative Elements and sentimeint from Perfectly Penned. The flourish is double embossed in concord crush, dobs of Tombow hold the glass glitter around the number. Beautiful inside also, and again forgot to get that!

Birthday cards

This is the birthday card my grandson did for his mom. Her birthday is Nov. 23, so it falls right around Thanksgiving and so rarely on it!! He went right for the glimmer paper for presents and embossed HB in a green and red glitter that I have had for a few years - thought it would be great and never used it! His colors are Wild Wasabi and Artichoke. Very nice in person. Dang forgot to get inside pictures!

Zander's Card

This goes to a 6 yo in Canada. I kept it kind've plain since I have no idea what postage to Canada is. Looking at it here, I REALLY think I should do something else to it....

Linda's Birthday

This one is for my golf buddy Linda. Sweet and pretty just like her. A top note die with dots embossing folder and the retired felt flowers. Pretty combo here. A definite case, but there was no name on the picture I saved... sorry. I did change the style of greeting and sponged around the top note. :-)

strawberry banana cake

My husband went to pick up our BBQ order. The menu listed strawberry banana cake. He thought it sounded like a nice addition to dinner.
what he had pictured in his mind was nothing like what came out of the bag!! hahahahaha Just strikes the funnybone!!

Christmas Stocking

The accessories die that goes with the stocking was used to cut metal sheets that were then embossed in colored embossing powder, glimmer paper circles for berries on the ivy, and all glued together with a paperclip on the back to make a cute little ornament... it is my 3D swap for stamp club this month.

Christmas Stocking

Not a really good picture - but a cute stocking. will hold a gift card for a craft fair I'm participating in. The sparkle in real life is eye catching!

Paper Camera

Here's a fun new app i found for my phone! It's called paper camera and makes photos look sorta like drawings. Lotsa fun to play with. Always hard to get a pic of the kitty - he is very averse to that for some reason. I was so happy to get a photo of him - looks like he is biting his lip! lol

Raining Flowers Digital

These were printed and then fussy cut - fortunately, they didn't take too long! I tipped the edges of the flowers in matching colors, except the calypso coral one - goofed and tipped it with peach. It didn't look too bad, so I kept it. These are paired with the matching digital sheets in the next post. The leaves are from Best Friends Forever.

Digital Raining Flowers

Here is the inside portion to the Raining Flowers cards. The more i use My Digital Studio, the more i love, love, love it!

Field Flowers

Here is another of my new favorites! Field flowers is a two step stamp that gives more depth to the image - any number of colors works - i'm sure more will show up here!

Happy Birthday!

This was for my husbands birthday. I just love that little bird from Nature Walk! Looking at it now, i see that i shoulda added something in the upper left for balance. That's what happens when you get in a hurry because you wait til the last minute! lol

Tasteful Trim 1

This is the another version. Doesn't balance out quite right... Think it might just be too busy with the zigzags - see next post for one more try!

Tasteful Trim

This one is better than the first one (couple) I did, but still just come together very well! Sometimes you just can't fix it! haha Still, if you don't play, you don't know....

Hello Doily

This is the neatest stamp! It positively looks real when embossed! This one is in melon mambo on white with pearls. Pretty plain and neat all at the same time! I'm also certain I cased this from someone talented, but I can't find your name. Let me know for your credit!

Blossom Party

a very poor picture! this is actually river rock and concord grape with vanilla trim. it really started out to be something colorful, summery, flowery - and this is what it morphed into. waaay off what i had in mind, but i do kinda like it! the new lace edge punch is gonna get lots of use!

Simply Soft

these are my first two attempts at casing Karen Barber's color techniques. a bit rough, but tempting enough to keep trying!!

Simply Soft II

i finally managed a nice looking case of Karen Barber's color layering. it still has no sentiment, since i tend to do that right before i send it out - i really want to do more of these!

Delicate Doilies II

i seem to be putting these in backwards of what i want - in retrospect - guess i could think it out a bit before hand!! hahaha this is a dressing up of the card after this one. no sparkles, but the crocheted flowers and retired corduroy buttons make it nice!

Delicate Doilies

this was done for a swap - 5 minutes or less to put together! how hard is that?! the postage stamp punch, a few rhinestones and the hello stamp from happy greetings. it worked well, but wish i had added another layer! thus the card ahead of this one!

Fabulous Florets

this one is a blend of a couple of cards i saw online - the flowers are watercolored and cut out and popped on dimensionals - for the others i did (for a swap) i just used glue dots - this is just such a nice set! it also has a mum type flower with it....

Sunny Fun

this one was a lot of fun. my missing mojo is beginning to return - ha - my sponging leaves a bit to be desired, but i have seen so many cute versions of this - beach blankets, beach bags, sand castles - so here is my version - the last little boy in line just seemed so perfect to sit on a blanket - and we all know kids don't get out of the water willingly - only if the proper food is used to entice. his snowcone can't get much bigger!! lol

Graduation Card

this particular card idea came from lisa young at add ink and stamp. i used two different sentiments from word play. i couldn't decide which to use and serendipitously, with the mortar board attached, it changed the lower sentiment to be more like an extension of the upper one!. lisa hung her mortar board from a corner, which i really liked better than this, but the sentiment swayed me!

Aviary

here is a direct case of the talented mike funke. this caught my eye when i first saw it - just so imaginative! the greenery in the tall, black embossed bird cage is the oak tree from lovely as a tree! amazing! this will get a sentiment as i need it -

triple layer Punch

you know, looking at this bow tells me this is a direct case of mary brown (stampercamper) again! i love her stuff!! daffodil delight, poppy parade and baja breeze. and a cute little black glitter brad. does anyone know why colors seem to NEED two names??!!! ok, silly question - i bet the answer just came to me! hahaha

Triple Layer Punch

this is such a cool punch! it does three different flower shapes! lends itself to so many different ideas! since i rarely have actual new ideas (!) i limit myself to two cases - i would love to tell you who, but again, it gets away when it sits! it is melon mambo, pacific point, and daffodil yellow. so nice and bright. perfect birthday cards!

Hello Blossoms

my first case of this card from stampercamper. mary does such nice work - the inks are peach parfait and pear pizzazz. the dsp is from the in colors patterns pack - peach. and a smudge of pear pizzazz ribbon.

Hello Blossoms

this card is another case of the talented stampercamper, mary brown. i just love her stuff! Amazing how the details leave after sitting a few weeks!! retired dsp - kaleidoscope, i believe, so saffron, night of navy card stock and the inks are old olive and peach parfait. no sentiment till i need it!

Kelly's Birthday card

another reinker technique along with finial press embossing folder. the leaf spray was cut out and layered on top of the stamped spray and the flowers popped up on dimensionals....

Fabulous Florets

these are just fun to make! a new line art image to do the reinker float technique on - very fun and truly easy! pumpkin pie, razzleberry and daffodil yellow. and it sports one of my favorite sentiments!

Jo's birthday card

my friend Jo's birthday is so close to Easter this year so i couldn't resist this card. a cute little punched bunny - made of various oval and circle punches and the owl punch and the Easter eggs from the Easter Blossoms set. Might have needed a sun to balance the clouds...

Flint's birthday card

pretty plain and simple, but effective! cherry cobbler on top of a remnant of black and vanilla dsp. the vanilla layer on top was run thru the square lattice folder. the engraved birthday was embossed in black and tipped in black. the black and vanilla ribbon was gathered in a brad.

Patti's birthday card

this one was a lot of fun. cupcake shaped piece of sticky sheet and "artfully" stick the ribbon to look like swirled icing... took a few tries, then it got very easy! a glittered cherry on top using my current favorite sweet and sour dsp.

Get Well poppy

this one uses the new (then) tulips embossing folder. tipped in soft suede, using the little every moment stamp set is oh so fun to color! and bows are so easy using a brad!

Easter Blossoms

This one will make a nice sympathy card... soft colors.... Love that Easter Blossom branch!

SAB goodies!

I didn't case anyone on this, so I'm just not as happy as I would like to be! :-) love the new vintage double sided paper. Notice the new tulip embossing folder and the window panes?

MDS meets Droid!

I haven't posted in quite awhile - such a busy winter! This is my phone with my new screensaver that I created all by myself!! It took a few tries to get it to fit the phone, but after that - easy peasy!
this will go on hubby's phone for valentines day! I haven't yet done his "special" card....
