Santa

Here is another one that I am sure I saw somewhere, and it stuck for me to case!! A bit tedious to get the snowflakes cleaned and glittered but a fun result!

Holiday Hoopla

I rarely have my own original thoughts and this one
no exception! ha cased, but I unfortunately lost
track of the originator - but i love her all the same!
such a cute card!

Christ Is Born

I made several of these - tried hard last year and
couldn't get them to come together - worked fine this
year.... love this set too!

Holiday Happiness

This is one of my favorite quickie sets -

Peaceful Season

This is a retired set that i LOVE!! It really needs a tiny something, just not sure what!

Ornament Punch

This doesn't want to sit up right.... these were fun
and simple to do - a small swirl of glitter and poof!!

Gifts of Christmas

I am back! It has been awhile since I have posted -
my resolution is to be REGULAR this year! Here are
some of this years Christmas cards.

flight of the butterfly

butterfly's get a flower treatment - and are perched on top of their matching "shadows". poor picture taking skills!! :-)

5 petal punch

this one was cased from a swap i attended. same great daffodil paper, but i embossed and border punched. cool how you punch the flower out and use a dauber to color it daffodil and a then add dazzling diamond glitter and tiny yellow and white flowers for the center! the birthday is embossed and a tiny flower with a pearl center to hide a boo boo!

fifth ave floral

here is another - the rose from fifth avenue are embossed in white on pacific blue and colored in versa marker. i then added a bit of pearly powder to the edges of some of the petals for a bit of shimmer.

fifth avenue floral

i love simple cards!! they can pack such a punch! this is a flower embossed in white on pink pirouette c/s and simply colored in with a versa marker. the sentiment is embossed in pink.

because i care

this is in regal rose and olive on pretty in pink paper. the birthday wish is embossed. simple and elegant.

elements of style

i have done this in a couple of colors and just can't go wrong with it!!! this is in razzleberry and vanilla.

friends never fade

one of my favorite colors!! baja blue. such a simple card, but very striking!

get whale soon!

this was fun to do - and very colorful! whale from fun and fast notes - watercolored in going grey. pacific point, kiwi and white layers.

get well fun and fast notes

this is one of my favorites - bella birds paper, with bordering blue embossed c/s. accented with saffron ribbon. the stamp was inked and embossed with gold and watercolored. all but the stampset is retired! sniff....

68th lovebirds

i did this for my inlaws 68th anniversary. they are just wonderful and i had a great time with the card! the bashful blue in the bird punch, she is in bride paper and he in groom paper. accented with a veil and a pearl flower, the gold heart was not my first choice, but 68 falls between light blue (60) and platinum (75) for colors - however, gold just looked better!

Sunday, July 18, 2010

this is a simple one layer thing i picked up from sharon field. she is where i saw stamping with the clear blocks first - i love this set - river rock background, wasabi paradise leaf, and baja breeze eucalyptus, and sentiment. dazzling diamonds on the eucalyptus. going for a swap i hope to be involved in this next weekend!
cased from another talented stamper whose name escapes me - i try to keep names with cards, but sometimes they get away! hers is very similar to this - same colors, but i tipped my flowers with some color. daffodil, mustard, real red and garden green, and the swirly die. it is gonna be a birthday card... hope she likes it!
this is a case of flowerbug on scs. her card is very nice and i just love this set!! marina blue, daffodil, real red, tangerine - just a fun card!
this was turned into a get well card for a friend. i love this retired set! pretty in pink, pink pirouette, and old olive.

elements of style

here it is again stamped in suede. i colored it in
saffron and set out to tip the edges with suede and dropped my sponge right in the middle! nothing to do but continue on and it actually came out pretty good! again with the lattice folder.

elements of style

here is another blue and white. it also uses the new
square lattice folder. it certainly gives it a nice
texture!

because i care

this is the cutest hydrangea stamp. and the new bitty punch fits the little petals so well!! just couldn't stop adding the petals.... they cup so well with a stylus on a mouse pad and with a tiny glue dot are even mailable!

family

this is right out of the stamping success magazine. carla moosman is the original designer. of course, i changed some things up a bit. but i like the added bright colors. this is a 9x12 frame. and i do believe i will make several more of these!!

elements of style

this is a great new set out of the new stampin up! catalog - great colored and just as good monotone!

stamping out cancer

this one is simple - butterflies punched out of dsp

and popped up on dimensionals. looks like they are ready to take off!

stamping out cancer

three little words, two tags die and some ribbon. very nice!
Here is number 4. a very simple but showy suede and white number using circle circus and circles punched from embossed card stock.
this is the third card for stamping out cancer. a great guy card... navy, sahara and old olive.... just love this one.

praying for you

here is the second of the 6 cards we did for stamping out cancer.
the wonderful thoughts and prayers set.

stamp out cancer

where does time go? i haven't posted in a month! eek! well, here are the cards we did at a stamp out cancer event. this is that happy little turtle from the very thankful set.

Purse # 2. This one uses the cherry blossom embosslit and sweet stem embosslit - and were incidentally added to the purse later...
Purses for prizes at a golf tournament, golf balls and tees inside with a matching gift bag and card for later use! These winners seemed pretty happy with these!
Last sympathy for awhile, I hope! The 5th Ave flowers are embossed in gold on watercolor paper, lightly touched with saffron for a bit of color and the background watercolor paper, very lightly touched with celery to give the card some depth.
Another sympathy - Trendy Trees, Sweet Pea dsp, some oversize brads and embossing and it works well as a more masculine card.
Tough to do sympathy cards, but this one in mellow moss with the scallop punch (yay i got one to come out!) and the butterfly embosslit was very easy to put together.
Another wonderful birthday card, simple flowers touched in pink, and the Happy Moments stamp set again, and a tiny ribbon to cover a minor boo-boo! An embossed sparkly cake on the envelope.
This is a birthday card for a golf bud - very pretty irl! Sparkles on the cameo pink flower, edged in cameo and spritzed with champagne shimmer paint. little leaves sizzlet, and the lovely, retired sweet always dsp.
This was a fun Easter card I did for my sister to put a movie and dinner pass for her kids in (so she can babysit the newest, firstest grandson!) The lovely chocolate bunny, easter eggs, and whimsical words round it out - the basket was woven out of kraft.
Here are the cards that go in the basket. Bermuda Bay, black and white Bermuda ribbon, Happy Moments stamp set and the daisy die -
This one was completely cased from Angela McKay.
I was so taken with the colors, I changed very little, the basket went to a silent auction.

Here is another one with the simple flowers - looks completely different - a touch of elegant eggplant and they begin to resemble pansies! A nice little wood textured pot, sweet pea paper and voila!!
This one is so simple! Bella toile background stamp and simple flower embosslit, with blue crystals in the center. All in ballet blue and white.

A quick little card honoring my sisters first grandson!
My first rose from the lovely ornament punch! Lots of fun to make and sprayed with a shimmer gold.
This was a fun card - 5th Ave floral impression folder, trimmed in platinum and water painted lightly in pink pirouette.
Last batch of notecards for a bit! These use Greenhouse Garden and some sponging on textured paper....
More notecards done with Sweet Pea dsp, and All My Heart.
Birds and Branches makes a great scherenschnitte note card! Very simple.
